Ambler Main Street is excited to announce the lineup of farmers and producers for the upcoming Ambler Farmers’ Market, which opens June 1st. The market, which will be operational every Saturday from 9am to 1pm through October, will be located in the SEPTA parking lot adjacent to Trax Restaurant and Cafe.
“We are thrilled that the market will offer something for everyone – from produce, dairy and meats to hard cider, honey, baked goods and more” said Allison Wolf, co-President of AMS. “The farmers’ market committee has worked tirelessly since last summer to bring fresh, locally-sourced food and products to the Borough of Ambler and we are confident that the market experience will delight everyone who shops!”
“A farmers’ market has been sorely needed in Ambler. We developed a vision that includes educating the community as well as providing music for shoppers and activities for children” said Rachel Levine, a committee volunteer. “While people will rely on the same lineup of farmers and producers every week, we want the market experience to include learning about local and organic food, our farmers and our community”.
The farmers and producers who will be at the market include:
- Alice Bakery & Confections (North Wales, PA)
- Apple Tree Goat and Dairy Farm (Lancaster, PA)
- Davidson’s Exotic Mushrooms (Kennett Square, PA)
- Frecon Farm (Boyertown, PA)
- Pennypack Farms (Horsham, PA)
- Clay Brick Farm (Pequea, PA)
- Neil’s Sharpening Service (Philadelphia, PA) (monthly)
“What is better than shopping for delicious food with your friends and neighbors and listening to local musicians while kids are entertained?” said Karen Palmer, another committee volunteer. “We have quite a season ahead and look forward to providing the community with a market they will happily visit often”.
