Event season kicks off in Ambler!

Ambler Main Street is thrilled to kick off event season in a big way with the return of First Fridays in Ambler starting May 2 and the Ambler Farmers’ Market on May 3!

“Our community is really looking forward to the return of these two events,” said Allison Wolf, President of Ambler Main Street. “It has been a trying winter for many folks. Everyone is ready to celebrate!”

During First Friday businesses in the town are open late and have special promotions. The event features live music, a Kidz Zone with activities, games, live demonstrations and community group information. The evening is reminiscent of the kind of block party held in neighborhoods years ago.

Ambler Savings Bank is delighted to sponsor this year’s First Fridays Kickoff by bringing the Sprout Channel’s “Lolly & Yoyo” to Ambler. “First Fridays bring a wonderful opportunity for the residents of Ambler and the surrounding communities to get together with family, to meet with friends and neighbors, and enjoy that small-town feeling you can only experience in a town like Ambler” said Martin R. Brown, President and CEO of Ambler Savings Bank. He went on to say that “Ambler has a lot of history which can be seen in the old photographs displayed in the Ambler Theater lobby.”

The following day is the season opener for the Ambler Farmers’ Market, which was met with great success last year. “We were thrilled with the support for the market last year,” said Karen Palmer, a founder of the market, “and we are delighted that our vendors from last year are returning again. We added a few more vendors, like Shore Catch from Barnegat, New Jersey, who is bringing fresh fish to our market every week. You can’t get fresher fish anywhere around here.”

The Ambler Farmers’ Market is open from May 3 the SEPTA parking lot at Butler Avenue and Maple Street.

First Fridays in Ambler is held every first Friday from May to October. The Kidz Zone is open from 6-9 p.m. and is located in various areas around Ambler.

We can’t wait to see you there!

PARKING IN AMBLER

Because Ambler has the busiest train station on the R5 rail line, we use meters for regulating parking. When commuters park their cars all day in the downtown, they take spaces away from our shoppers and visitors. The meters will help free up convenient spaces for shoppers and other visitors. That's the why of meters, now here's how to take advantage of them:

AMPLE NUMBER OF SPACES
247 spaces in the three Borough lots
146 spaces on the street within one block of downtown.

THREE CONVENIENT LOTS
On Lindenwold at Butler Ave., Cavalier at Butler Ave., and Butler at the Train Tracks

BARGAIN RATES
SUNDAYS AND AFTER 6 PM ARE ALWAYS FREE.
WEEKDAYS ARE ALSO FREE FROM 12-2PM
One dollar buys you 1 hour of parking on all meters.  You can pay for up to 2 hours with either coins or the Flowbird APP on your smart phone.
